Together, We Can Revitalize Kolz Field
Let’s ensure safer, more reliable fields for our kids and our future!
WHY?
- The Kolz Field Complex (home of Stoughton Youth Soccer) lacks adequate drainage, often leading to field closure which negatively impacts schedules.
- The Stoughton Community Preservation Committee (CPC) has approved a grant to help us with these needed improvements. This allocation needs to be officially approved at the May 2026 Annual Town Meeting.
WHAT?
After environmental surveys, professional landscapers will carry out the following:
- Subsurface Work - Tilling and laser-grading of the existing ground.
- Drainage Improvement - Adding new soil to improve drainage and runoff.
- Cosmetic Updates - Replacing old fencing and goals to refresh the facility.
WHEN?
- If approved by Town Meeting Representative, the timeline will be as follows:
- Fall 2026: Environmental engineering surveys and permitting begin
- Spring 2027: Either Field 2 or Field 3 closes for remediation
- Summer 2027: First remediated field opens
- Summer/Fall 2027: Second field closes for remediation
- Spring 2028: Second field opens — project completed
WE NEED YOUR HELP!
Community support is essential to move forward!
- Advocate for the Vote - Please encourage Town Meeting Reps to vote in favor of allocating funds at the May 2026 Annual Town Meeting.
- Fundraise for the Future - As part of the CPC grant agreement, we must raise an additional $40,000. A fundraising initiative will launch in the spring. We will rely on the community to help raise these much needed funds!
